New York is known far and wide for its superior pizza. (Your objections have been noted, Chicago pizza fans.) Will it soon be known for inspiring superior pizza-flavored potato chips? And will you, in just a few days, be able to enjoy the unmistakable flavor of a Philly cheesesteak without having to make a trip to the City of Brotherly Love by merely digging into a bag of chips you pick up at your local convenience store?

Signs point to yes, thanks to Lay’s. The chip brand is launching five limited-time-only potato chip flavors — as part of its Lay’s Flavor Icons chip collection — that are designed to re-create, in but a humble potato chip, the flavors of iconic dishes from famous, fan-favorite restaurants in different American cities.

Starting in mid- to late July, when Lay’s begins a nationwide rollout, you can take a virtual restaurant trip around the country by munching on Lay’s Kettle Cooked New York Style Pizza inspired by Grimaldi’s in New York City, Lay’s Nashville Hot Chicken inspired by Party Fowl in Nashville, Lay’s Philly Cheesesteak inspired by Geno’s Steaks in Philadelphia, Lay’s Wavy Carnitas Street Taco inspired by El Torito in Los Angeles and Lay’s Chile Relleno inspired by Cocina Azul in Albuquerque. (Note that the Chile Relleno flavor is available only at Walmart and 7-Eleven.)

All of a sudden, not traveling much further from our couches this summer seems like all that and a bag of chips.
