McDonald's Pumpkin and Creme Pies Have Been Spotted Just in Time for Fall

If a Pumpkin Spice Latte, pumpkin glazed turkey, or any of the other dozens and dozens of pumpkin items currently on the market doesn’t strike your fancy, perhaps you’ll be eager to hear that McDonald's Pumpkin and Creme Pies are back.
The tasty treats were spotted by the Instagram account @junkfoodonthego, which is based in California. “Pumpkin & Creme Pies 🎃🥧 are back at participating @mcdonalds locations!!!,” a caption of a photo of the pastries read. “I love Pumpkin Pie sooooo much & grab a couple of these whenever they’re available. Great for whenever you’ve got that pumpkin pie craving.”
While McDonald’s has yet to formally announce the return of this sweet classic, this sighting means we’ll likely be hearing a whole lot more about this autumnal dessert over the next several weeks. They were last spotted around this time last year.
For those that need a little refresher on this seasonal treat, it’s made up of a baked pie crust (just like the one used to prepare the Golden Arches’ beloved apple pies) that’s been stuffed with pumpkin pie filling on one side and creme filling on the other. It’s basically a crispy turnover packed with a creamy, pumpkin pie-esque filling.
However, as @junkfoodonthego noted, these scrumptious pies won’t be available everywhere because not all McDonald’s franchise owners opt to sell them. What’s more? Since these pies are clearly geared toward the fall, you better snatch ’em up while you can. They’ll likely only be around until late November or early December, at which point a holiday pie will probably swoop in and make us forget all about pumpkin season.
If Twitter is any indication, consumers will be delighted by the return on McDonald’s Pumpkin and Creme Pies. “If you haven’t had a McDonald’s pumpkin and creme pie, you’re missing out,” one user wrote last year. Another tweeted: “Go to McDonald’s and ask for a Pumpkin Creme’ Pie ....NOW!”
And if your local McDonald’s happens to be out of Pumpkin and Creme Pies, try asking for the secret birthday cake instead!
