Why bring regular cookies to your tailgate parties when you could bring ones with football-shaped chocolate chips in them? That is now an option, football fans. Nestlé is launching Toll House morsels shaped like footballs to kick off the season — and your baking creativity.
Yes, Nestlé Toll House Milk Chocolatey Flavored Football Morsels retain their shapes even when you bake them. That makes them great for adding a gridiron spin to cookies, cupcakes and other baked goods, as well as snack spreads, the brand says.
“We’re thrilled to launch Nestlé Toll House Milk Chocolatey Flavored Football Morsels as a delicious, creative way to make game day treats even more special,” Kate Boeding, head of marketing at Nestlé Toll House, says in a press release. “This innovation is a celebration of creativity in the kitchen and beyond.”
The brand recommends pressing the morsels into team-color cookies, using them to top cupcakes, mixing them into snack mixes and building them into game-day dessert boards. NFL legend Peyton Manning endorses all of these ideas.
“Since my playing days, I’ve always been a fan of Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies for their homemade taste and quality ingredients,” Manning says in a statement. “The new Football Morsels are a fun way to bring that same flavor to game day — whether it’s at a tailgate, watching at home with family, or even bringing them to your entire football team.”
The morsels come in nine-ounce bags, are priced at $4.68 and can be snapped up, starting Monday, September 1, only at Walmart.
