Peanut butter and jelly is a classic combination, and while typically seen in a lunchbox sandwich, it’s pretty much always a great idea. So much so, in fact, that it deserved to be in poppable candy form.

M&M’s is launching a new flavor inspired by the nostalgic combo: Peanut Butter & Jelly. The candy features a berry-flavored coating with a smooth peanut butter center.

“Peanut butter M&M’S have always been a popular flavor with our fans, so we’re excited to double down on their excitement - with a twist,” said Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Wrigley North America. “Our new M&M’S Peanut Butter & Jelly taps into a cross-generational staple, turning a delicious and comforting snack into a bite-sized treat to be enjoyed and shared.”

Peanut Butter has always been a big part of the M&M’s lineup, with options ranging from M&M’s Peanut Butter and M&M’s Peanut Butter Minis to M&M’s Peanut Butter Mega. The jelly component gives it a little something extra fun – but it’s not exactly an all-new idea. The Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M’s, which were discontinued in 2015, also featured a berry candy coating and peanut butter filling. Rumors have been swirling of their return, and they seem to have been accurate. While the new flavor is not a return of the Strawberried Peanut Butter per se, it is an update on the concept, sure to please those pining for the former flavor.

M&M’S Peanut Butter & Jelly will be available nationwide and online at MMS.com beginning December 2024. It’ll be available in single size (1.63 oz.), share size (2.83 oz.) and sharing size stand up pouches (8.6oz).
