This Returning Pizza Hut Deal Remains an Absolute Steal for Your Football Watch Parties

Despite rising food prices, the crowd-friendly Big Dinner Box costs the same as it did 14 years ago.

Feeding a crowd, especially a hungry pack of sports fans coming over to watch a football game, can be a challenge. And feeding that crowd on a budget can be an even bigger one, but in 2011 Pizza Hut introduced a new way to stuff a party’s food into one package for under $20: The Big Dinner Box. The original version featured two rectangular pizzas, eight wings and breadsticks with dipping sauce all delivered in, as its name suggests, a giant buffet-ready box.

This football season (and soccer season and baseball post-season), Pizza Hut is bringing back the Big Dinner Box to its menu and, perhaps surprisingly, not much has changed. While so many things, including the cost of food, have gone up over the years, the Big Dinner Box still starts at just $19.99, just as it did 14 years ago.

What’s included in Pizza Hut’s Big Dinner Box?

You’ll still find two one-topping pizzas, five breadsticks with marinara dipping sauce, and eight boneless chicken wings. But fervent Hut fans may notice this is a slight variation from previous iterations of the BDB which included a pair of rectangular pizzas and bone-in wings. In addition to those bones, what else is missing? The big box. Each item will be placed in its usual packaging. Other than that, the deal remains essentially the same.

Pizza Hut is kicking off the return of the Big Dinner Box with ads featuring Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen who can’t help but call out “hut hut!” while trying to talk about the promotion. Of course, you’ll also need drinks, so you can also channel your inner QB and input the code PEPSISETHUT (as in “Pepsi, set, hut”) at checkout online or in the app to receive a two-liter beverage of your choice for just $2. The Big Dinner Box combo will be available throughout football season.

But that’s not the only sweet (or savory) Pizza Hut deal going on right now. If you’re just feeding one or two people, you can try one of Pizza Hut’s new oblong Crafted Flatzz crispy, artisan personal pizzas starting at just $5 until 5 p.m. daily (prices vary after that depending on location). They come in flavors like Nashville Hot Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, The Ultimate (pepperoni, Italian sausage, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, tomatoes, sweet marinara and mozzarella), Three Cheese and the Pepperoni Duo with both classic and “cup n’ crisp” pepperoni. The $5 Flatzz pricing will last through the end of October.
