There’s no shortage of fun and adorable desserts for Easter. And, as much we love baking a festive cake or whipping up a plateful of really cute cupcakes, there’s nothing like a batch of freshly baked cookies. This time of year we always have a few on hand since they can easily do double duty as table decor or party favors. You’ll find that there’s a design for every celebration but we’re partial to these almost-too-pretty-to-eat Easter eggs. We took our best sugar cookie recipe and gave it a festive twist. The cookies look like they have been dip-dyed just like a classic Easter egg. By tinting a simple royal icing with your choice of colors, you can create an array of beautifully swirled cookies — with ease!
