Apple Crisp

Ingredients

5 cups peeled and sliced apples

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/3 cup apple cider

Topping:

1/3 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup flour

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 pound unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Directions

  1. Toss the apples with the tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and cider. Place in 1 1/2 quart lightly buttered serving bowl. Combine the dry ingredients for the topping ad with your fingers mix in butter gently, until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over apples, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  2. Serve with softly whipped cream
