If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t seem to make a pizza in your home oven that resembles the one you get from your favorite pizza place, the answer could have something to do with temperature. Restaurant pizza ovens can reach temperatures as high as 800 to 900 degrees Fahrenheit, which your home oven can’t do. But Frigidaire has just launched what it says is the first-ever home range with a “Stone-Baked Pizza Mode,” to let you make restaurant-quality pizzas at home.

The Frigidaire Gallery Range with Stone-Baked Pizza Mode is, the brand says, the first and only home oven in North America that can safely reach 750 degrees Fahrenheit — almost 200 degrees Fahrenheit higher than most conventional ovens — to deliver “Neapolitan-style,” crispy-crust pizza in as little as two minutes. (That’s faster than waiting for the delivery guy. Frigidaire calls it a “total game-changer.”)

The multifunctional oven, with its capability of reaching “intense, controlled heat” very quickly, can be used for pizzas as large as 14 inches in diameter and includes a “custom-designed heat shield” for added safety. It also comes with a pizza stone, temperature probe and pizza peel.

In addition to its proprietary Stone-Baked Pizza Mode, the range also offers 15 other cooking modes, including Air Fry, Air Sous Vide, No Preheat, Steam Bake, Bread Proof, Dehydrate, Convection Bake and Roast, and Slow Cook, among others. It’s offered in Smudge-Proof Stainless Steel meant to be attractive, fingerprint-resistant and easy to clean.

“With this launch, we’re setting a new standard for what families can expect from their everyday appliances,” Amie Guy, senior vice president of marketing and consumer direct interaction for Electrolux Group North America, the company behind the Frigidaire brand, says in a press release. “Pizza ovens have traditionally been limited to outdoor or countertop use. We saw an opportunity to bring that artisanal experience into the home – integrated into a full-function range without compromising safety, space or performance.”

The new oven was inspired by the “real-life needs” of families and how food can bring them together at home, Guy adds.

The U.S.-manufactured Frigidaire Stone-Baked Pizza Oven is available in gas, electric and induction versions and is designed to fit into a standard 30” kitchen footprint. Priced starting at $2,599, it is now available nationwide at retailers including Home Depot and Lowe’s and online at Frigidaire.com.

Family pizza night may never be the same.
