Fried chicken fans are very serious about their fried chicken eating. They know what it takes to achieve the crispy-outside-juicy-inside bliss point and what sauces pair well with their wings and drumsticks. The real ones also know how to take fried chicken to new heights by thinking outside of the box, and lately, the viral trend has been to eat fried chicken with Buldak noodles, the globally beloved instant ramen known for its fiercely fiery flavor. The move has been to wrap a few strands of noodles around a piece of chicken, and the general reaction among online food creators has been one of euphoria.

The creamy, carby heat of the noodles really is the perfect foil to the crispy golden bite of fried chicken, so it just makes sense that the combo has quickly developed a cult following. And luckily for those fans, a tasty new collaboration between two powerhouse Korean food brands will give them more of what they know and love. Buldak has teamed up with bb.q chicken, the Korean fried chicken giant, to offer up a bold creation: Buldak on Cheesling.

What is the new Buldak on Cheesling fried chicken?

This exciting limited-time menu fuses Buldak’s iconic hot sauce with bb.q’s signature Cheesling chicken, known for its crispy coating and savory-meets-sweet cheese powder finish. The result hits all the right notes: heat, crunch, richness and, of course, that iconic Buldak kick.

According to the two brands, the partnership celebrates the best of modern Korean culture and flavor. With Buldak’s fiery sauce drizzled generously over bb.q’s chicken tossed in Cheesling powder, fans can expect a one-of-a-kind bite that’s both comfortingly familiar and thrillingly bold.

“The cheese coating goes crazy, it melts in your mouth,” content creator @sarah.slurps says in her Instagram review of the Buldak on Cheesing menu. One commenter on her post wrote, “This flavor is so good, it reminds me of the carbonara buldak!”

Where can you get Buldak on Cheesling fried chicken?

You won’t have to wait long to try it. Buldak on Cheesling is available for a limited time at participating bb.q Chicken locations nationwide, now through December 10 or while supplies last. Customers have the option to try it as wings or boneless chicken.

Whether you’re a fan of Korean fried chicken, spicy ramen or both, consider this your cue to clear some space in your dining schedule. And, if you really want to up the ante, do as the pros do and make a bowl of Buldak noodles to eat with the Buldak on Cheesing chicken.

Korean Fried Chicken

While the Internet is full of Korean fried chicken recipes that use a variety of techniques and ingredients, this recipe stays true to the technique of double-frying to produce the classic crunch. The wings are marinated for a short time in a not-so-typical mixture of soju, garlic and ginger--long enough to flavor the chicken but not long enough to affect the texture. As for the sauce, it is spicy, sticky, tangy and thick, meant to be brushed on the wings right before serving for optimal enjoyment.
