Papa Johns Is Delivering a Global Sensation to the U.S.
But only for one day.

When Papa Johns launched its global-attention-capturing Croissant Pizza earlier this summer, it initially made it available only in the United Arab Emirates. At the time, it promised to bring the innovative menu item — pairing “the delicate, flaky texture of a buttery croissant with the bold flavors of Papa Johns pizza” — to other countries: “from Korea and China to Chile and Peru.”
Alas, Papa Johns didn’t say anything about bringing the Croissant Pizza to the United States. Until now.
What is Papa Johns’ Croissant Pizza?
It’s a pizza with a croissant crust. Papa Johns says it pays “homage to the classic pastry” and “delivers a crisp, light and layered bite through a buttery braided, gloriously flaky crust.”
What inspired the Croissant Pizza?
Announcing the Croissant Pizza’s global launch, back in June, Chris Lyn-Sue, senior managing director of international at Papa Johns, said the brand was looking to create “exciting new experiences that stand out,” and the concept of a pizza with a croissant crust seemed destined to be a hit.
“We conducted extensive research to understand what consumers wanted from our next global innovation. Croissant Pizza scored highly across all markets,” Lyn-Sue said. “We also explored the rise of croissant mashups in food culture – from the ‘cronut’ to the ‘crookie’ – and saw an opportunity to bring that same innovation to pizza. After a year in development, we’re proud to unite two beloved icons into one craveable, delicious product.”
When was it first available?
Papa Johns International announced the launch of its first ever Croissant Pizza on June 10, 2025. Initially available only in the UAE, it spread to other markets and became a fan favorite. People seemed to like the mashup of a flaky, delicate, buttery, pastry-ish crust and the traditional taste of pizza.
So, wait, is Papa Johns Croissant Pizza coming to the U.S. — and if so, where, when and how do I get my hands on one?
Yes, it is, but only for a very limited time: one day, Wednesday, September 10, between 12 noon and 2 pm local time. The catch is that the drop will be available, while supplies last, at participating restaurants, exclusively to U.S. Papa Rewards members. You can sign up to be a member here.

That’s maybe the best part: It’s free — or as Papa Johns puts it “complimentary” — for Papa Rewards members. There’s a one-per-customer limit and the pizzas are available for carry-out only.
