What If Cheez-Its Were Even Crunchier?
The brand is reinventing the iconic cheddar cracker.

When Americans think of a baked cheddar cracker, they think of Cheez-Its. Many have been eating them since childhood, whether they were packed in a lunch box, served as an afternoon snack or brought to the pool. The brand has been around for over 100 years. And while the original orange, square Cheez-It is most recognizable, the brand has also successfully introduced other varieties, including Cheez-It Grooves, Cheez-It Puff’d and Cheez-It Extra.
Today, the brand announced that another new line of Cheez-Its, Cheeze-It Crunch, will soon be making its way to shelves.
What is Cheez-It Crunch?
The daring new line of Cheez-Its promises to be bolder and crunchier than any other Cheez-It that’s come before it. The Cheez-Its come in a 3-D, windowpane shape, further distinguishing them from classic Cheez-Its.
“We’ve taken everything fans love about the original Cheez-It cracker and reimagined it with a new, irresistible snacking experience,” Cara Tragseiler, Senior Brand Director for Cheez-It shared in a press release. “As the name indicates, Cheez-It Crunch has a bold, craveable crunch, delivering a satisfying bite and making it a must- have for all snack lovers.”
The brand says it was inspired to create the line after noticing an increased demand for snacks with vibrant flavors and unique textures, citing a study that showed a 55-percent increase in crunch snack videos on social media in the last year.
What flavors does Cheez-It Crunch come in?
Made with 100-percent real cheese, Cheez-It Crunch will be available in three flavors: Kick’n Nacho Cheese, Crunchy Zesto Jalapeño and Sharp White Cheddar.
According to the press release, Cheez-It Crunch Kick’n Nacho Cheese has a “classic cheddar cheese layered with a kick of nacho spice for a satisfyingly spicy and savory flavor.”
Cheeze-It Crunch Zesty Jalapeno Cheddar offers “the iconic Cheez-It cheddar taste with a bold kick of spicy jalapeño.” According to the brand, “the initial cheesy flavor is followed by a zesty heat that builds with each bite.”
The only non-spicy flavor, Cheez-It Crunch Sharp White Cheddar, has “a complex cheddar taste” and notes of butter.
When and where will Cheez-It Crunch be available?
Single serve bags of Cheez-It Crunch Kick’n Nacho Cheese and Zesty Jalapeño Cheddar will debut at 7-11 in October, with full-size bags of all three flavors coming to retailers nationwide starting in January 2026.
