Ceramic serve ware and dinnerware are seriously on-trend right now, thanks in part to TikTok stars like Emily Mariko adding new ceramic dishes to her kitchen. With stylish brands like Heath Ceramics and East Fork continuously growing in popularity, we were excited when we learned that Haand, a ceramics brand based in North Carolina, is celebrating their 10-year anniversary with some new additions to their Cloudware Collection.

Cloudware is made by blending blue and white porcelain slip in the plaster molds while the piece is being made. "This makes every single piece of Cloudware unique, in fact, we encourage our casters to make their own spin on the process," Mark says. The result is a marbled design that mimics bright, wispy clouds floating through a clear blue sky.

Haand's Cloudware Collection is already filled with much-loved bowls and cups, but they're adding two exciting new items to the assortment. One is a tapered mug, designed to keep liquids warm longer thanks to its elongated design — there's less surface area exposed to the air than ordinary mugs. It's also designed with a, "slightly wonky, wavery rim" to feel truly like a Haand piece.

Cloudware was one of the brand's earliest collections, inspired by classic blue-and-white China dishware and clouds along the Florida seashore, where co-founder Mark Warren grew up. Mark launched Haand in 2012 alongside Chris Pence, a high school friend. "We would watch the clouds go by as we enjoyed a beer outside at our first studio, as two poor young people without a TV or anywhere to go, it would always spark an easy, happy conversation about the future and what Haand could be as we watched the clouds move and change," Mark says. "When I look back on that time nostalgically, I think maybe we saw our future written in the patterns there."

Looking for a housewarming gift, or want to dress up your summer dinner table? The new Cirrus Vase will add colorful whimsy to any space, and the shape is inspired by Mediterranean style and classic Southwest water storage jars. You can use it as a beverage carafe, too.

Still not convinced? Haand is more than just beautiful ceramic pieces — each piece of Cloudware is made from lead-free porcelain and is safe to put in the microwave or dishwasher. Plus, about 20% of each finished piece is made from reused scraps, and their dip-glazing application process produces zero waste. The mug and vase are available for pre-order until June 10, and then both products will be regularly stocked.
