Hot buttered rum is a warm and cozy cocktail perfect for winter or the holiday season. There are plenty of ways to customize this drink, with this version combining butter, brown sugar and cinnamon along with apple cider and dark rum. Serve warm with a cinnamon stick garnish.

Directions
Mash the butter with the brown sugar, ground cinnamon and salt in a small bowl.
Heat the apple cider in a saucepan until simmering. Remove from the heat, then whisk in the butter mixture until melted and combined. Stir in the rum and ginger liqueur.
Divide among 6 mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
