Erewhon Just Released a Smoothie With Its Biggest Celebrity Yet
The fashion icon is getting her own signature beverage.

If you don’t have an Erewhon near you, there’s still a good chance you've heard of it. The natural foods and wellness-focused grocery store, often making headlines for its pricey products, is a favorite among social media influencers as well as mainstream Hollywood celebs who frequent its multiple Los Angeles-area locations.
And now, a fashion icon — a star so big she only needs to go by one name — is associating herself with the supermarket chain for her 67th birthday: Barbie.
Starting this week, Barbie is celebrating another trip around the sun with her own bespoke Erewhon beverage creation, The Birthday Wish Smoothie by Barbie. Sure, the partnership might not appeal to young kids currently playing with Barbie dolls, but as with the 2023 box office record-breaking movie, we know grownups love Barbie, too. And a smoothie at a Southern California hotspot is on-brand specifically if you’re talking about Malibu Barbie, who you just know would be taking selfies at the Santa Monica Erewhon smoothie bar.
So what does the most important doll of the 20th Century (and beyond) put in her birthday smoothie? The drink includes MALK Organic Oat Milk, Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water, Zuma Valley Coconut Whip, Beyond Good Pure Ground Vanilla, Good Dee's Sprinkles, Regenerative Organic Certified Erewhon A2 Whey, organic gluten-free oats, organic banana, organic tocos, organic goji berries, organic maple syrup and organic pitaya. The result is a dessert-like drink with layers of Barbie-approved pink and colorful party-ready sprinkles on top.
Previous Erewhon celebrity collabs have included the likes of Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo. Barbie, of course, isn’t a real person, thus this smoothie collaboration marks the first time Erewhon has created a smoothie for a character.
The Birthday Wish Smoothie by Barbie is available at all Erewhon locations from Barbie’s official birthday, March 9, through April 8.
