Hidden Valley Has a Dream Job for Ranch Lovers
The brand is hiring teams to spread the condiment across Europe this summer. Seriously.

You would be hard-pressed to find any corner of the United States where ranch dressing doesn’t have its fans. But while the creamy, zesty sauce is a staple for dipping and topping many American foods, what would happen if you took ranch abroad? That’s what Hidden Valley Ranch wants to find out — and they’re willing to pay you to do it.
This summer, Hidden Valley Ranch is hiring two teams of “Ranch-bassadors” to travel across the Europe with bottles of ranch in one hand and a camera in the other. The brand says it is looking for two pairs willing to test ranch on everything from British fish and chips to Italian pizza. And perhaps the best part is that it’s a real, salaried(!) 40-hour-per-week job.

So what, exactly, will a Ranch-bassador do? According to an announcement from Hidden Valley, the job will involve eight weeks of work, including seven weeks of travel. The lucky new hires will create social media content that showcases Hidden Valley Ranch alongside regional foods, with reactions from locals. As of this writing, the unofficial itineraries would both begin in London, then diverge on northern (Ireland, Iceland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden) and southern (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Greece) routes. In addition to a salary, your travel, lodging, food and activities would be paid for — though keep in mind your co-Ranch-bassador would also be your roommate for the duration of the trip.
“This is more than a job — it’s a cultural exchange powered by an incredibly versatile flavor,” Stacy Stokes, Vice President of Marketing at Hidden Valley Ranch, explains. “Ranch is unmistakably American. As we celebrate America’s 250th, we’re sharing this original taste with the world and inviting our biggest fans to help us bring The Flavor of America abroad. Does ranch taste good on literally anything? We can't wait to find out.”
To be a Ranch-bassador this summer, you’ll need to pick a partner and prepare the application materials, which will include a video portion. Other than being a U.S. resident of 18 years of age or older, the only qualifications Hidden Valley Ranch has is that you must be “outgoing, culturally curious individuals with a passion for food, travel, storytelling and content creation.” The application window is set to open on March 31, but interested applicants can sign up to receive an alert when the application window opens.
