Pets are really good to their humans. They provide endless affection and companionship – but then dinnertime comes around, and they have to beg for scraps!
Isn’t it about time that man’s best friend had their own dessert options?
Ben & Jerry’s is no stranger to creating special ice cream varieties that pay tribute to everything from legendary musicians to cultural moments, but their latest launch is for the dogs – literally!
Ben & Jerry’s has two new flavors made exclusively for pups, and they sound doggone delicious. Doggie Desserts by Ben & Jerry’s are formulated for dogs and made with a sunflower butter base. From there, varieties include peanut butter and pretzel swirls in “Pontch’s Mix” or Pumpkin Spice Latte-like pumpkin and mini cookies in “Rosie’s Batch.”

“We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family,” said Lindsay Bumps, a Ben & Jerry’s Global Marketing Specialist who is also certified veterinary technician. “We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs. Doggie Desserts are the sweetest treat they’ll ever put their paws on.”
To make these sweet treats extra (well, sweet!) they were named after two actual dogs in the Ben & Jerry’s office — a Frenchie and a rescue mutt.
A pup knows they’ve made it when rather than having to beg for dessert, a dessert is created in their honor!
The Doggie Desserts are available in 4-ounce mini cups or in 4-count multipacks, with a suggested retail price of $2.99 and $4.99. They can be found everywhere from grocery stores to pet stores nationwide.
As the pandemic has led to a boom in pet adoption, it’s about time that these pets that have given humans so much love and comfort this past year get some extra goodies to enjoy.
