Coca-Cola’s New Flavor Tastes Like Childhood Summers

Few things hit the spot on a hot summer day like an orange creamsicle frozen treat. And while we’re still months away from ice pop weather, you can get a taste of that summertime staple from a bottle of Coke starting next month when the soda brand releases its new Coca-Cola Orange Cream, a blend of classic Coke plus orange and creamy vanilla flavors.
If “Orange Cream” sounds familiar, that may be because it bears a striking similarity to a discontinued flavor released in the late 2010s. From 2019 to 2021, Coca-Cola offered an “Orange Vanilla” flavor in the U.S. Despite its success, however, business considerations in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic did not allow for the continuation of the flavor at that time.
“Coca-Cola Orange Cream intends to reconnect consumers with a beloved flavor tradition while pushing the boundaries of taste,” Sue Lynne Cha, Vice President Marketing, Coca-Cola Trademark North America said. “By blending our iconic Coca-Cola formula with refreshing orange and smooth creamy vanilla flavors, we are introducing an all-new beverage that reimagines the classic Coca-Cola experience. … This launch underscores our ongoing commitment to innovation and reimagining classic flavors, and we can’t wait for our fans to try.”
Will things be different for Orange Cream this time around? We’re told the limited-edition flavor will last at least into the first part of 2026, though it’s possible Orange Cream’s non-permanent status could change. (Of course, no matter what happens, daring Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain drink machine users can probably still mix Orange and Vanilla flavors into their Coca-Cola on their own.)
Orange Cream will be available in 12-ounce cans, mini cans and bottles, as well as in regular Coca-Cola and Coke Zero options at retailers nationwide beginning on February 10. Just look for the ombre label featuring Coke’s iconic red color fading into a golden orange hue on top.
