Your morning coffee routine may consist of something simple at home. But on days you’re running late, or craving something more fun, there’s a select set of drinks, like cold foam-topped concoctions you can only seem to get at a coffee shop.
Coffee mate is changing that with a new line of cold foam creamer cans, so you can bring the luscious topping to whatever you’re brewing at home.
Billed as “velvety smooth,” “frothy” and “flavor-forward,” the just-announced Coffee mate Cold Foam creamers will come in three different flavors. Each flavor springs from a popular variety of traditional Coffee mate creamer.
Coffee mate Italian Sweet Crème Flavored Cold Foam offers “the perfect amount of sweet crème flavor” and is “a classic for a reason,” according to the brand. Coffee mate Nestle Toll House Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Flavored Cold Foam,” meanwhile, offers notes of “semi-sweet chocolate” and “buttery, caramelized brown sugar” that are novel in a cold foam format. Lastly, Coffee mate French Vanilla Flavored Cold Foam offers the “tried-and-true” flavor of “fan-favorite vanilla.”
The cold foam creamers will come in a 14-fluid ounce canister fitted with a “proprietary mess-free dispensing tip for light and fluffy foam every time,” according to Coffee mate. The brand also says the creamers, which can be used in hot or cold beverages of “just about anything,” are lower in sugar and offer more servings per container than competing cold foam creamers.
Daniel Jhung, president of Nestlé USA’s beverage division, says the brand is pleased to be offering creamers in a new flavor and texture. “With one in five coffee drinkers craving whipped topping on their beverages, and cold coffee on the rise, we couldn't think of a better way to introduce our most experimental product yet,” he says in a statement.
The trio of new Coffee mate Cold Foam creamers will be available nationwide, priced between $4.68 and $5.49, at select retailers starting in January 2025.
Cold foam at home could be a fun way to add a little froth to your morning routine.
