14 Festive Treats and Deals You Can Snag for St. Patrick’s Day
There’s more on offer than just the Shamrock Shake.
We always know when St. Patrick's Day is approaching — much like our neighborhood pizza places breaking out heart-shaped pies for Valentine's Day, all the bagel shops will suddenly offer festive green bagels. Meanwhile, at the corner bar, green beer appears on the menu.
But it's so much more than local spots. Chain restaurants nationwide are doing all kinds of fun and creative themed dishes and drinks this year in honor of the occasion. Here are the best ones we’ve found:
Applebee's: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by stopping by Applebee’s to try the new $6 Emerald Escape cocktail or $4 Parade Punch Mocktail. The Emerald Escape is a tropical mix of Jameson Irish Whiskey, Malibu Coconut Rum, melon liqueur, blue raspberry, pineapple juice and lime, served with a gold sugar rim. The nonalcoholic version, the Parade Punch, is a blend of pineapple, prickly pear, blue raspberry, premium lemon sour and bubbly lemon lime soda, garnished with a lemon wedge dusted in gold sugar.
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer: This popular spot for burgers and decadent shakes is offering a Guinness-inspired menu all March long. This includes the Guinness CrazyShake — a Guinness chocolate milkshake topped with Guinness chocolate cake, brownie, whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle — as well as a Guinness Classic Milkshake and a Guinness Burger featuring a Wagyu patty with pastrami spices, pepper Jack cheese, Guinness bacon jam and pickles.
Carvel: Planning a St. Patrick’s Day gathering? Carvel has brought back its Cookie Puss for St. Patrick’s Day — ice cream cake just in time for the occasion.
Cinnabon: Rewards members can score a $1 lemonade from March 14 through March 17, with the purchase of any baked good, at participating locations.

Costco: Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, a new Double Chocolate Mint Sundae has arrived at the Costco food court. The Double Chocolate Mint Sundae features a base of mint-flavored soft serve ice cream laced with chocolate fudge and cookie crumbles.
Dairy Queen: This beloved chain has launched the Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone: DQ’s famous original cone dipped in a green mint-flavored coating with chocolate cookie crumbles. This season, DQ is also marking the occasion with a Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Parfait and Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Blizzard Treat.
Good Times Burgers & Frozen Custard: Try the Irish Cream Frozen Custard during the month of March to honor the holiday. This custard blends Irish cream into Good Times' signature vanilla custard — no booze involved.
Insomnia Cookies: Starting the evening of March 3, you can order Insomnia Cookies' latest limited-time cookie, the Rainbow Dream Cookies N’ Cream. The new cookie features the Insomnia Classic Cookies N’ Cream flavor with a seasonal update of rainbow sprinkles, gooey marshmallows and Hershey’s Premier White Chips.
Kings: During St. Patrick’s Day weekend, this retro-themed entertainment venue will have a Shamrock Strike Challenge, where a winning strike on Lucky Lane (randomly chosen every two hours) will win a free hour of bowling. There will also be limited-time weekend specials like the Pot O’ Gold cocktail featuring Bacardi Rum, Blue Curacao, Midori and a golden sugar rim, in addition to Green Beer and a Shamrock Shotski Special.
McAlister’s Deli: Enjoy the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick's Day with a little Lucky Lemonade. This is a twist on McAlister’s classic lemonade, mixed with blue raspberry syrup and peach purée. It will even be available by the gallon for at‑home celebrations. On March 17, McAlister’s Rewards members can also snag a $1 Lucky Lemonade with any entrée purchase.
McDonald's: McDonald's Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry are back. The famous shake, which has been beloved for decades, is made with vanilla soft serve, Shamrock syrup and whipped cream. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry is a newer, similar addition with Oreo pieces in the mix as well.

Also launching will be the Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse Layer Cake and an Irish Cream Latte.
Randy’s Donuts: From March 11–12, Randy’s Donuts will launch limited-time St. Patrick’s Day treats, including a deluxe green iced raised doughnut topped with green and gold glitter. If you’re a member of Randy’s Rewards, you’ll get twice the points on all purchases of the doughnut.
