Starbucks’ annual holiday cups have always been a landmark of the season. Each year, the coffee chain will come out with fun new spins on the traditional red cup (sometimes these spins are not red at all), and the launch of the cups is often symbolic of the time of merriment, presents and warm, cozy lattes.

In a year that has been anything but traditional, Starbucks once again launched their line of holiday cups in early November. But this year, perhaps as a nod to merriment being more needed than ever, they followed up those holiday cups with more holiday cups – and the latest, a cup that can change colors.

While red cups have long been the most recognizable of Starbucks’ seasonal offerings, green ones have also often made an appearance. These color changing cups satisfy both team red and team green: It starts out deep green, and then once hot liquid is added, the cup magically turns red!

For those hot beverage lovers who can’t get enough color changing cups, there is also a 6-pack Color Changing Hot Cup Set, which retails for just under $17 and is detailed with candy cane prints that change colors when the cups are filled. There’s also a Glitter Cup Set for cold brew drinkers – because who doesn’t love a little sparkle?

The single-color changing cup goes for $3, meaning that finding a unique-but-budget-friendly stocking stuffer for the coffee lover on your list is going to be a lot easier this year.

Starbucks’ seasonal releases tend to go quick, so it may be a good idea to call ahead at your nearby location before trekking over to make sure these items are still in stock.
