Some of us are really into our coffee; others are more focused on the cup the coffee comes in. Starbucks has good news for both kinds of caffeine hounds.
Those big on the beverages themselves will be pleased to learn that the coffee chain’s popular holiday drinks — Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte and Eggnog Latte — will return this year starting on Friday, November 6. They’ll share the menu board with other seasonal bakery items, including the Cranberry Orange Scone (new this year) and returning treats Sugar Plum Danish, Cranberry Bliss Bar, Snowman Cookie and Snowman Cake Pop.

And the cup lovers will be even happier to learn that, also on November 6, Starbucks will debut four new cup designs for the winter-holiday season and offer its limited-edition red cup giveaway — for the third year in a row — for those who order a holiday beverage of any size that day.

This year’s reusable cup is 16 ounces and features a “festive design that evokes a cozy holiday sweater,” the company says. It will be available for free at participating locations when they open on the 6th while supplies last. Quantities are limited, so if you’re keen on rounding out your Starbucks free collectible red holiday cup collection, or starting a new one, you’ll want to move as fast to get to your local Starbucks as you will after you drink that coffee.
The chain also aims to pep up your holidays with four new seasonal cup designs. The “Ribbon” design looks a bit like the collectible cup, featuring ribbons of greens and reds in a design made to resemble a holiday sweater. “Dot” floats polka dots against a green base, with a ribbonlike design carrying the message “carry the merry.” “Sparkle” features retro-ish stars and diamonds. And “Brand Wrap” features bands of holiday colors and the brand’s famous siren.
