There are few foods more comforting in cold weather than bread and soup. Panera is a reliable destination for both of those — it’s even offering a $1 soup deal right now.

But the bakery-cafe chain’s holiday menu, which arrives today, November 5, is tipping decidedly toward the sweet and the caffeinated. The lineup of new and returning seasonal items includes the debut of an especially cool Panera beverage: its first-ever frozen hot chocolate.

“From bakery treats to handcrafted beverages, we’re always exploring new ways to surprise our guests with flavors that highlight the familiar comfort of the season,” Mark Shambura, Panera Bread’s chief marketing officer, says in a press release.

What are the new items on Panera’s holiday menu this year?

The following items will be making their debut:

  • Frozen Signature Hot Chocolate: This new drink starts with half-and-half and blends it with ice and “chocolatey” sauce, then tops off the whole thing with whipped cream. Shambura says the brand is especially excited about the beverage, describing it as a “fun, refreshing twist on a cozy classic.”
  • Crème Brûlée Bite: This “buttery vanilla” mini cake features a brown sugar streusel topping and a sprinkle of salted caramel sugar.
  • Signature Hot Chocolate: This blend of steamed milk and “chocolatey” sauce comes topped with whipped cream.

Which items are returning to Panera’s holiday menu?

These fan-favorite seasonal beverages will be making a comeback:

  • Mocha Latte: This freshly brewed drink features espresso, foamed milk and “chocolatey sauce” with a whipped cream topping.
  • Iced Mocha Latte: This cold beverage includes the same ingredients as the Mocha Latte, but it is served over ice.

How can you get Panera’s 2025 holiday menu items?

The menu items are available starting November 5 for dine-in, delivery, Rapid Pick-Up or drive-through orders. Prices may vary by location.

Is Panera offering any deals for the 2025 holiday season?

Indeed it is. For starters: that aforementioned soup deal. Customers can get a $1 cup of soup with an in-app purchase of a whole entrée when they use the code “SOUP” at checkout. The deal is currently available for a limited time at participating Panera cafés.

Also starting November 5, Panera is offering the first 25 customers to buy the new Signature Hot Chocolate or Frozen Signature Hot Chocolate in-cafe at participating Panera locations a free Hot Chocolate Plush Keychain.
