This holiday season, it may not be possible to have large family dinners or big festive parties. But one beloved part of the winter season actually is back – and it smells a lot like fried chicken.

KFC’s fried chicken-scented 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog has become something of a holiday season tradition. Every year it re-emerges with limited availability and quickly sells out. Now, it’s back for its third year, to instill some tradition into a holiday season that has so far felt anything but.

“For the past two years we have warmed the hearts and homes of our fried-chicken fans during the holiday season with our 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog,” said Andrea Zahumensky, KFC U.S. CMO in a press release. “Although this year may look different, we hope that by expanding our exclusive partnership with Enviro-Log and Walmart, people can once again grab a fried-chicken scented firelog, order a bucket of chicken from KFC, and savor the tastes, smells and warmth of what has become our favorite holiday tradition.”

The firelog was created in partnership with Enviro-Log and this year will be exclusively available at Walmart, but supplies are limited, so keep that in mind if someone you love has a chicken-scented log on their holiday wish list.

“Since selling out last year, we have received weekly calls from hopeful fans wanting to get their hands on the 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog,” said Ross McRoy, president and founder of Enviro-Log, in the press release.

The concept of the firelog is just like any other log someone may throw on the fire, should they have a fire ready for some logs to be added. Just throw it on the fire, light it up, and theoretically, your home will then smell like KFC fried chicken. Not a bad way to spend a holiday.

Of course, anyone who doesn’t get one in time can always just make some fried chicken. That is another way to make the smell waft through the house this holiday season!
