Tune in this Saturday for entertaining tips as Food Network chefs try out new recipes on old friends. Kick things off at noon with Valerie Bertinelli as she puts on a low-cost barbecue complete with Barbecue Grilled Chicken and an icy Lemon-Basil Granita. After, Patricia Heaton is throwing a boozy brunch party for one of her friends. On the menu is fresh Tropical Fruit Parfaits and Iced Raspberry Prosecco Cocktails.

Then on Sunday, get the popcorn ready and put your feet up for back-to-back episodes of Food Network Star. First, see which eliminated finalist is making a comeback on Star Salvation; hosts Alex Guarnaschelli and Eddie Jackson put the contestants through a six-week challenge to see who deserves a second shot at Stardom. Then, the four finalists battle it out for a chance at shooting a pilot with the help of Season 2 winner Guy Fieri. After that, amateur cooks and professional chefs battle it out on Cooks vs. Cons. The contestants must create pro-worthy dishes that incorporate cherries, and the winner will bring home some serious bacon.

After Valerie and her husband, Tom, accidentally double-book friends over for dinner, Valerie saves the day by inviting both couples over for a casual backyard barbecue — delicious, easy and one of the most cost-effective ways to entertain. She whips up Barbecue Grilled Chicken, Brown Sugar Baked Beans with Bacon, Grilled Vegetable Kebabs and a refreshing Lemon-Basil Granita.

Saturday 12|11c

Patricia's friends chip in to help her plan an elegant bubbly birthday brunch for singer-songwriter Ruby Amanfu. It will be a party to remember when Patty serves up her Tropical Fruit Parfait with Honey-Ginger Drizzle and Gingersnap Granola, Muffin-Tin Eggs Benedict with quick hollandaise, Confetti Pancake Cake, and Iced Raspberry Prosecco Cocktail.

Saturday 12:30|11:30c

One ousted rival will rejoin the competition, but only if he or she can survive a six-week journey on Star Salvation, hosted by Alex and Eddie.

Sunday 8|7c

It's down to three finalists, but there's a surprise in store when an eliminated contestant re-enters the competition after winning Star Salvation on FoodNetwork.com. The final four then battle it out with former finalists helping as their sous chefs. Food Network Star winner Aarti Sequeira joins to help select the final three to shoot pilots, which they then film with help from another winner: Guy!

Sunday 9|8c

Judges Richard Blais and Daphne Oz know their shrimp and grits, but do they know how to tell a cook from a con? Working chefs and home cooks hide their identities as bacon makes a glorious appearance in the first round. In round two, the remaining contestants put their skills to the test in the battle of the cherries. The taste of defeat may be tart, but the winner gets a huge cash prize with a cherry on top!
