We love our first tip because it is so simple: Just use new shower caps to cover salads until the crowd is ready to eat! Shower caps are decorative, reusable and fit so many different-sized bowls. You can get a few good uses out of them by washing them with warm soapy water and allowing them to dry. (Just keep them out of the dishwasher.)

Our second tip is easy too. Distract annoying flies and ants by setting out a pitcher of sugar water. Stir about 1/2 cup sugar into a pitcher of warm water. Be sure to set it away from your picnic or outdoor buffet. Bugs will be attracted to the sugar water and away from your food. Sweet!
