From their perch above Boot Camp, Bobby and Anne got to see some of the craziest happenings, especially the first day: Casey trying to cut an onion with a fork and a knife? Stephanie making chocolate out of vanilla extract and brown sugar? A day didn't go by where something didn't happen, and sometimes the mentors even got in on the action.

For the first challenge in Boot Camp, a baseline Skill Drill, Benji made a grilled cheese, one of the only dishes he could do decently. While garnishing his plate with potato chips, Anne stops by to play a little game on him, complete with a potato chip beak. What she doesn't yet know is that Benji has a crush on her "in a very non-creepy way," he says.

There was never a dull moment while Lance was around. Calling himself the "black Bobby Flay," he thought he could cook just like Bobby and garnished his first dish with habaneros. Anne pointed out they were too hot to use, and she removed them for him to taste. Lance went ahead and tasted directly from her hand. Bobby couldn't get over it, calling it his "favorite moment in history."

The food processor seemed to be the one appliance that gave everyone the most trouble. At one point, Carie even gave up trying to figure it out, opting instead for a blender. Here Bobby helps Danielle use it to make her pesto sauce during the pizza challenge.
