Attention, BTS fans and Happy Meal toy collectors. McDonald’s is teaming up with the hugely popular South Korean boy band again to introduce BT21 Happy Meals.
The new BT21 Happy Meals, featuring 10 cute collectible toys, will be available at participating McDonald’s starting Tuesday, July 14, but only for a limited time.
This third collaboration between McDonald’s and the K-Pop band aims to give fans a “passport to the BT21 Universe, where love, friendship and music come to life,” according to the fast-food chain.
What is BT21?
BT21, which stems from a collaboration between BTS and Line Friends, is a brand featuring eight adorable characters created by the members of the boy band BTS: V, Jung Kook, Jimin, RM, Jin, J-Hope and Suga.
“BT21 has become a pop culture phenomenon fueled by sold-out merchandise, fan meetups and a passionate worldwide community,” McDonald’s says.
What’s in McDonald’s BT21 Happy Meal?
In addition to the usual food elements (Hamburger or Chicken McNuggets, Fries, Apple Slices and a kids’ drink), each BT21 Happy Meal includes one of ten BT21 character toys. Each toy features a key chain ring-clip to make it easy to carry around and show off.
“Hook Tata to your purse, put Chimmy on your key ring or take the whole group of universtars with you on your backpack,” McDonald’s suggests, referring to two of the featured characters and the collection as a whole.
The BT21 Happy Meal boxes also feature a scannable QR code that unlocks a “BT21's musical universe” on HappyMeal.com. The interactive feature allows fans to “create their own beats and bring their favorite characters' performances to life,” McDonald’s says.
When have McDonald’s and BTS teamed up before?
The fast food chain and the K-Pop band partnered to introduce a BTS Meal in 2021 and the TinyTAN Happy Meal in 2025.
The latter included little toy versions of the seven band members and was released as two separate sets: a Throwback Edition, in which the characters were dressed in 2021 outfits, and an Encore Edition, in which they wore 2025 attire.
