Last year, as winter kicked in, Barilla introduced pasta shaped like little snowflakes for the first time. The shape was a super-cute nod to cold weather outside as you sit in the warmth of inside, enjoying the ultimate comfort food.

Alas, the seasonal shape was available only for a limited time — and it looked like it may have been a one-off. But good news for those who were sad to see the snowflakes go away with the season last year: Barilla is bringing back the limited-edition, snow-inspired pasta shape, Barilla Snowfall, again this year.

What is Barilla Snowfall pasta?

Barilla Snowfall pasta includes three different winter snowflake shapes, each of which is intended to capture the excitement of a snowfall and “the warmth of shared meals” and to evoke different aspects of the holiday season. The “traditional” flake shape stands for “tradition,” obviously. A “poinsettia-inspired” ridged flake is intended to convey “joy.” And a flake with a heart in the middle is meant to suggest “love.”

Made with semolina and non-GMO ingredients, Barilla Snowfall pasta comes in the brand’s recognizable blue boxes and cooks to al dente texture in seven to eight minutes. Each 12-ounce box serves six.

The Barilla Snowfall boxes are designed to include a gift tag (yes, right on the side of each box), in case you want to make a present of them. (They really are kind of a perfect gift for lovers of pasta and/or snow.)

“These seasonal shapes are a great addition to your favorite holiday or winter pasta recipes,” the brand says.

Where can you buy Barilla’s snowflake pasta?

This year, Barilla Snowfall pasta will be at select retailers nationwide, including Amazon and Walmart, from November through December. But again, only for a limited time and while supplies last.

In other words, they’re as evanescent as a snowfall, so enjoy them while you can.
