We may love the Jonas Brothers for their music, but their latest project is one that will pop in a whole other way.

In a new venture that trades in pop music for popcorn, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas are working with The Naked Market to launch a new snack inspired by their favorite backstage nosh.

Rob’s Backstage Popcorn, which will be available beginning October 5, is an artisanal popcorn brand, and is actually inspired by a really sweet bit of nostalgia. Rob Garbowsky, who is the dad of Greg Garbowsky, a longtime friend, former bass guitarist and current member of the band’s management team, is tied to how this popcorn came to life.

Some years ago, Nick Jonas visited the Garbowskys’ home, tasted the popcorn, and asked Rob to start making the popcorn for the Jonas Brothers crew. The band loved it so much, it soon became their go-to backstage snack, and now is always on the road with them. While it remains a secret recipe, the flavor is sweet and savory, and seemingly rather addictive.

Food Network editor Maggie Wong got her hands on a bag and shared, “It’s like a wild flavor ride. The first bite I had was sweet, and then the next thing I knew I was tasting something salty, savory and maybe even smoky. I wasn’t sure where this popcorn was taking me, but I loved every second of it!”

Ultimately, Nick, and his brothers Kevin and Joe Jonas, approached The Naked Market about bringing Rob’s Backstage Popcorn into the world. The Naked Market and Jonas Brothers then worked together to create a popcorn as close to the original recipe as possible, and now the popcorn, which until now has only been available at Live Nation venues on stops along the tour, will be available nationwide on eatrobs.com.

As for the inevitable pop metaphors that will come when a pop band creates a popcorn brand? Well, all is fair in entertainment!
