Chef Gabi Odebode is a seasoned recipe developer specializing in African and Caribbean cuisine, with a three-year tenure crafting recipes for Food Network Kitchen. With almost two decades of culinary experience, Gabi's journey began as a home cook, learning alongside her mother, grandma, and aunt.
Gabi's commitment to sharing her culinary heritage led her to publish her first recipe book and teach at various cooking schools in the Cincinnati-Dayton area. Establishing Afromeals LLC. in downtown Cincinnati, she has educated thousands about African and Caribbean cuisine. Noteworthy clients such as Microsoft, Proctor and Gamble, General Electric, etc. In February 2023, Gabi expanded her knowledge by completing a nutrition course at Stanford University.
Today, Gabi is celebrated as a pioneer in introducing African and Caribbean cuisine and culture to the Cincinnati/Dayton area. Her endeavors have earned her recognition from esteemed publications like Cincinnati Magazine and the African Food Network, which honored her as one of the industry's most influential figures in December 2023.

Transitioning from science to cuisine, Gabi emerged as a food entrepreneur, drawing inspiration from her upbringing in West Africa's Ghana. She honed her skills under the guidance of family cooks and developed a passion for cooking during high school, inspired by shows like Rachael Ray's.

Gabi's journey includes a surprising twist: she holds a Master’s Degree in Biology, specializing in neuroscience and immunology, and has published scientific work.
