A new batch of kitchen chaos, food fumbles and culinary confusion is fresh out of the oven as 12 recruits arrive at boot camp to meet up with chefs and mentors Anne Burrell and Cliff Crooks. Even though some of these recruits know each other, they're all strangers to the culinary arts. To start the competition, Anne and Cliff have them show off their skills (or lack thereof) by cooking a loved one's favorite dish. For the main dish challenge, the recruits must replicate the chefs' surf-and-turf dinner. Anne and Cliff are shocked by the kitchen disasters, and the recruits hope they are chosen for a team.
Chef Anne Burrell and returning mentor, Jeff Mauro, welcome the newest batch of recruits to culinary boot camp. These 16 fun-loving singles are disasters in the kitchen, but they're eager to learn some cooking skills and impress future dates. Before picking teams, Anne and Jeff kick off the competition by having the recruits make their signature "seal the deal" meals to show off their skills, or lack thereof, in the kitchen. Then in the Main Dish challenge, the recruits learn how to make duck paired with a fruit sauce. After assessing everyone's skills, Anne and Jeff reveal a unique twist when choosing their teams.
Chefs Anne Burrell and Tiffany Derry teach their spoiled recruits that food doesn't come from an app -- it actually comes from a farm! The teams must navigate an outrageous farm-themed obstacle course, which includes milking cows by popping udder balloons, searching for corn cobs in haystacks and lassoing stuffed animals from a pen. Afterwards, Anne and Tiffany task their teams with replicating biscuits and gravy. The training wheels come off in the main dish challenge when the chefs leave the kitchen and have the recruits create an entire composed dish on their own. While some recruits start to find their groove in the kitchen, the least successful recruits are eliminated.
