Restaurant chains have some juicy deals to bite into on September 18.
Mark your calendars: National Cheeseburger Day is coming up. Celebrated every year on September 18 (and not to be confused with the decidedly less cheesy National Burger Day, which is celebrated annually on May 28), the holiday falls on a Friday this year, making it a lovely end-of-week celebration of the magic that happens when a meat patty meets a cheese slice.
Plenty of restaurant chains are offering up deals, discounts and freebies to help you hoist aloft a cheeseburger in tribute. Whether you prefer your cheeseburgers rare or well done, here are a few juicy ones:
Applebee's: The chain is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day on September 18 by offering the Applebee’s Classic Burger or Classic Cheeseburger plus fries for $8.99. The deal is available for both dine-in and to-go orders placed in restaurant, or via the Applebee’s website or mobile app. (And, if you need even more cheese on your burger to celebrate the holiday, there's always the decadent new O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger at regular price.)
Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar: On Friday, September 18, dine-in guests can get Bad Daddy’s limited-time Jalapeño Business with a classic side for $10.
Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay: In celebration of National Cheeseburger Day on September 18, Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay is offering a $9.18 meal deal featuring a 4-ounce Palace Classic Cheeseburger, fries and a small fountain drink at participating locations. The deal is available for dine-in or pick-up orders placed via the Bobby’s Burgers app.
Buffalo Wild Wings: You may think of them for wings, but on National Cheeseburger Day, B-Dubs is serving up a BOGO cheeseburger deal. On September 18, when you buy one regular-priced cheeseburger, you can get a second cheeseburger of equal or lesser value for free at participating Buffalo Wild Wings locations.
Burger King: Burger King’s National Cheeseburger deal is part of “Perks Week,” a weeklong string of daily offers for the chain’s Royal Perks members via the Burger King app and website, lasting from September 14 to September 20. On Monday, September 14, you can get a free Rodeo Burger with a $3 minimum purchase. On Tuesday, September 15, there’s a BOGO offer on the Whopper Jr. On Wednesday, September 16, you can get a free Croissan'wich with a $3 minimum purchase. On Thursday, September 17, Burger King is offering a free Hamburger with a $3 minimum purchase. On Friday, September 18 — “the main event,” as the brand calls it — you can snag a free Bacon Cheeseburger with a $3 minimum purchase. And on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, with a purchase of at least $3, you can get free 4-piece Nuggets and a free Original Chicken Sandwich, respectively.
Dairy Queen: DQ is marking National Cheeseburger Day by offering a free single Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger with any app order of $1 or more. The deal, which is available for new and existing DQ Rewards members, runs from September 14 to the holiday itself, September 18, at participating DQ Grill & Chill locations nationwide. You can get it through the DQ Mobile App or at www.dairyqueen.com.
Dog Haus: On September 18, Dog Haus Rewards members who purchase a cheeseburger through their rewards accounts will receive a voucher for a free cheeseburger to use on a future visit.
Eddie Merlot’s: You can get the chain's Eddie's Prime Cheeseburger with house-made potato chips for $15 when you order online for takeout or delivery on September 18.
Farmer Boys: This West Coast chain is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day by offering its Very Important Farmer (VIF) loyalty members a deal on a Big Cheese cheeseburger. On Friday, September 18, the Big Cheese can be had for $3.99. The offer is available for in-store or online orders, but it's not valid on third-party delivery platforms or combo meals.
Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers: From September 18 through September 20, in honor of National Cheeseburger Day, Freddy’s is offering 50 percent off any Freddy’s Triple Steakburger (except for the Prime). The deal is accessible through the Freddy’s Rewards app and redeemable at the drive-through, for in-restaurant dining, and on pickup or delivery orders.
Good Times: This Colorado-based burger chain is offering $2.99 Deluxe Cheeseburgers in honor of National Cheeseburger Day on Sept. 18. The deal is available in-restaurant and through the app. Good Times is also offering a $1 deal on fountain drinks of any size for the month of September, so you can wash down your cheeseburger at a discount, too.
Huddle House: Rewards Members can get a free single smash burger on September 18 in honor of National Cheeseburger Day.
Krystal: Krystal is offering two free Original or Cheese Krystal sliders to customers who make any $5 purchase in the Krystal app on September 18, National Cheeseburger Day.
McDonald’s: On September 18, McD’s fans can get a free Double Cheeseburger with a $1 minimum purchase at participating restaurants when they order via McDonald's App and opt into MyMcDonald's Rewards.
MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes: MOOYAH Rewards members can get a BOGO offer on September 18 when placing a burger order through the MOOYAH app. The deal is valid on all MOOYAH burgers, including the MOOYAH Cheeseburger, MDC Double Cheeseburger, Hot Bacon Jam, Mushroom Swiss Burger and Double Diablo.
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery: To commemorate National Cheeseburger Day, Perkins is offering its guests a deal on a “BFP (Burger, Fries & Pie)” meal for $10.99. The deal features a cheeseburger on a warm brioche bun, fries and a slice of pie.
Smashburger: On September 18, the burger chain is offering new and existing SmashRewards loyalty members a $1 deal on any single Smashburger — classic to signature builds — at participating locations nationwide. The offer is available in-restaurant, on to-go orders placed via the Smashburger app and on first-party delivery orders, but can’t be combined with other offers.
Sullivan’s Steakhouse: For National Cheeseburger Day, Sullivan's Steakhouse is offering its Signature Angus Burger and fries for $15 when ordered online for takeout or delivery on September 18.
Tender Greens: Tender Greens Rewards members can get a free drink with the purchase of a Tender Burger or Tender Burger Plate on National Cheeseburger Day, September 18.
Wahlburgers: The burger chain founded by Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day one day early. On Thursday, September 17, Wahlburgers is offering 50% off its signature Our Burger or Our Burger Smash/HD Smash.
