When you want a quick, affordable meal, you might find yourself deciding between boxed macaroni and cheese and ramen. Both are super easy to pull from the pantry and prep. But now you don’t have to make a choice at all.

Kraft Mac & Cheese is launching a new “why not both?” option: Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen. Yes.

What is Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen?

Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen will bring “the familiar cheesy taste fans know and love to the ramen aisle in an entirely new format,” according to the brand.

Declaring itself to be “the first mainstream brand to enter the cheesy ramen category,” and noting this is the brand's first product debut in a new category in two decades, Kraft Mac & Cheese says its new cheesy ramen lineup will offer its own spin on a popular ramen customization.

Wait, isn't cheesy ramen already a thing?

Indeed, cheesy ramen is a thing — especially Korean versions. Korean brands like OTOKI and Samyang already sell their own cheesy flavors. And Kraft Mac & Cheese says its new lineup is “inspired by the way consumers are already adding cheese to ramen for a creamier, more flavorful experience and to help balance spiciness.”

“Consumers are increasingly looking for bold flavors and new ways to enjoy the foods they love, and we’re seeing growing demand for cheesy ramen in the U.S.,” Nicolas Henault, vice president of marketing for Kraft Mac & Cheese, says in a press release. “As a brand that has been delivering cheesy comfort for nearly 90 years, we saw a natural opportunity to bring our cheese expertise to ramen and give consumers a uniquely Kraft Mac & Cheese take on a format they’re already embracing.”

How many flavors are in the Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen lineup?

The initial Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen lineup includes three varieties, offering “something for the entire family,” according to Kraft, with more flavors are set to follow:

Spicy: This flavor “balances a bold kick of spice for a smooth, savory flavor.”
Chicken: This variety offers a cheesy spin on “the rich umami flavor of chicken ramen.”
Pork: Described as “bold” and “hearty,” this flavor combines “notes of pork ramen” with “the familiar taste of Kraft Mac & Cheese.”

When will Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen be available?

Kraft is giving us some advance notice here: Kraft Mac & Cheese Cheesy Ramen won't be available until early 2027. It sounds like there may be an opportunity for the impatient to get an advance taste; just monitor @kraft_macandcheese on Instagram or @maccheesebykraft on TikTok for updates.
