Lobster is unlike other fish or meat; it is very hospitable to exotic flavors. This sweet and sour bell pepper sauce is just wacky enough to be interesting, but not so much that it detracts from the sweet and rich taste of the lobster. The rosemary and savory spices in the flour mixture help balance the dish.

Handheld desserts are one of my favorite things to make, and who doesn't love apple pie? I love this recipe because it combines the great comfy flavors of a slice of apple pie, but in two forms—one round and one shaped like an egg roll—that are easy to handle when you're just hanging out with friends on game day. Using spring roll and wonton wrappers is an easy shortcut and they fry up crisp. This is a great way to have dessert without taking your eyes off the big game!

Ten Layer Chocolate Cake

When it comes to layering, there is no better example than a Pousse-Cafe cocktail. It might be old school technique, but the layering is as fresh as the latest Tik Tok trend. Laughing Man is my favorite local coffee shop and a Black and Tan is my favorite go to casual drink. This cocktail is a mash up of the two.

From the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, this lasagna has cured many poor spirits here stateside. Delicious as the original may be, my multi layered version, packed with veggies, addresses each area carefully to yield a dish you enjoy guilt free.

I've been known to devour this popular restaurant appetizer by the plateful. Biting into cheesy poppers and having the jalapeno heat explode in my mouth is an experience all its own. Usually, these snacks are made with just bacon and cheese, but I couldn't help adding fresh clams. I've wrapped them in bacon and baked them to perfection. Only 3 grams of carbs will pass your lips with these treats.

This is a classic burger in every way, but with a big twist. It made from everyone’s other favorite meat—shrimp. A touch of spicy mayonnaise and fried green tomato round out this big bite for burger day.

Tender, buttery beets are very delicious on their own. I can only think of a few ways to enhance the flavor of roasted beets. Agrodolce is Italian for sweet and sour and it’s a handy condiment used for almost anything cooked or raw. Adding a sharp sheep’s milk cheese is a great dish building strategy. It makes a side dish feel like it’s a main course.

For the really hungry, really thirsty, brunch loving, burger obsessed, big drink lover, comes the Giant Bloody Mary. Garnished with the kitchen sink and more, this tall drink of vodka and other spirits is sure to lift the spirits of anyone who crosses its path. The use of heavy machinery is not recommended.
