The Cheez-It and Wine Box That Sold Out in Minutes Returns for a Second Summer
But this time around, the box will taste a little different.

So much about this summer feels different from the last, but here’s one great thing that hasn’t changed: Kellogg’s is, for a second year, bringing the world a Cheez-It and Wine box to make your National Wine and Cheese Day (it’s July 25th, if you want to mark it down on your calendar in big, red letters) celebration super convenient and fun, if not, you know, super fancy.
Or, I don’t know, maybe it is kind of fancy… because this year’s limited-edition box — priced at $29.99 — offers a brand-new, summer-friendly combination featuring Cheez-It White Cheddar & House Wine Rosé.
House Wine, a label that prides itself on being “approachable and unpretentious,” has been hailed as a Best Buy by the likes of Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, so you know its rosé will be up to the task of pairing with a high-class snack like Cheez-Its.
“White Cheddar is a long-standing favorite of Cheez-It fans and what better match than light, refreshing rosé?” Jeff Delonis, Cheez-It’s senior director of marketing, said in a news release. “Not only does it perfectly complement the cheesy goodness, it’s also the unofficial wine of summer!”
Hal Landvoigt, winemaker for House Wine, expressed similar excitement about the pairing, noting that both Cheez-Its and House Wine’s vinos “run the full spectrum of flavor.”
“We’ve seen rosé skyrocket in popularity over the past few years, especially during the warm summer season,” Landvoigt added. “For the second year of this partnership, we knew the pairing had to feature rosé as the perfect complement to the real-cheese flavor in Cheez-It White Cheddar.”
Beware: If you want to rosé (and Cheez-It) all day with one of these boxes, you’d be wise not to wait all day to buy one when they go on sale at 2 p.m. ET on July 23 at Original House Wine. Last year’s limited-edition box, featuring Original Cheez-Its & House Wine’s Original Red Blend, sold out in mere minutes.
