Fans of a certain Krispy Kreme doughnut should clear their calendars this weekend. The Strawberry Original Glazed is making its long-awaited return this spring.
What is the Strawberry Original Glazed doughnut?
“The Strawberry Original Glazed is a fresh take on a beloved classic, delivering the brand’s signature melt-in-your-mouth experience, enhanced with a burst of bright, vibrant strawberry flavor,” said Krispy Kreme in a recent press release.
There are other permanent doughnuts with strawberry-flavored icing on the menu, but the strawberry-flavored glaze is unique to this one only.
Its fans are voicing their excitement in the comments of an Instagram post announcing the doughnut's return, with one commenter writing, “Yesssss finally!!!! Been waiting.”
When will the Strawberry Original Glazed be available?
From Thursday, April 16 through Sunday, April 19 only, you can get the pastel pink doughnut at participating stores across the U.S.
This release marks the fifth time since 2020 that the Strawberry Original Glazed has been on the menu, and its first appearance since last spring.
An even sweeter incentive to stop by your local Krispy Kreme, guests who buy any dozen doughnuts can receive a dozen of the strawberry flavor for just $5. This offer is limited to two orders per guest.
