This One’s for the Superfans: Taco Bell Is Making a Musical About Its Mexican Pizza
The out-there TikTok production will include Dolly Parton and Doja Cat.

A new musical is in the works, and it’s about the most surprising of topics, starring the most unexpected people, and will be found in a place as off Broadway as one can get.
This new musical was created in honor of all the people who really love Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza. Mexican Pizza: The Musical, from Live Mas Productions, stars Dolly Parton, who turns out to be quite the Taco Bell superfan.
The musical is based on the rather legitimate story of the fight by fans to bring back Mexican Pizza after it disappeared from menus, and Doja Cat even shares her own role in the menu favorite’s return.
As Doja Cat has already created a viral Mexican Pizza jingle, it seems like this was a tale ripe to be brought to stage for some time.
Mexican Pizza: The Musical will premiere exclusively on TikTok on May 26 at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT and was written by Hannah Friedman with music by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear. The musical release will of course follow the much-awaited return of Mexican Pizza to Taco Bell menus nationwide on May 19 (but rewards members will have early access on May 17).
Maybe next will be a movie about the journey of the cheesy fiesta potatoes? We’d tune in.
