There's no added refined sugar in this tart and refreshing lemonade - all the sweetness comes from the apples and lemons themselves! You can also try a pink lemonade version by juicing your favorite red-skinned apple instead of the Golden Delicious.

Directions
Special equipment:
a juicer (see Cook's Note)
Set up your juicer and turn it on. Run the pieces of apple and lemon through and juice.
Add a pinch of salt and stir. Allow the juice to settle for a few minutes and skim off any foam that rises to the top. Serve over lots of ice.
Cook’s Note
If you don't have a juicer, make this lemonade in the blender. Just add all the prepared fruits and salt plus 1/2 cup of water and puree until very smooth. In small batches, pour the pureed fruit through a fine-mesh strainer and use a large spoon to push the liquid through. The lemonade will be slightly more sour, but still delicious!
