According to legend, Marlene Dietrich sucked on lemon wedges to keep her cheeks taut - which is why her signature drink is garnished with citrus. This cocktail is a riff on an old fashioned and likely originated at Hollywood's Hi Ho Club in the '30s.
Combine 2 ounces Canadian whisky,1/2 ounce orange curacao, and 3 dashes bitters, in a cocktail shaker; fill with ice. Shake well and strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with a wedge each of lemon, and orange.
