This cocktail is a riff on the Saturn cocktail, a tiki drink named in honor of the Saturn rocket which propelled the first Apollo mission into space. Saturn, a Roman god associated with agriculture, harvest and time, is considered the equivalent of the Greek Titan Cronus, often depicted as a god of abundance and linked to the "Golden Age" in mythology. The Saturn cocktail is made with passionfruit, orgeat (usually made with almonds), lemon, gin and falernum. For this twist, in honor of the Triple Threat Titans, I substitute a more sustainable orgeat, made with abundant sunflower seeds instead of the typical almonds.

Directions
Add the gin, lemon juice, Sunflower Seed Orgeat, falernum and passionfruit purée to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a hurricane glass with crushed ice and garnish with an orange twist (see Cook’s Note), edible flower and pineapple frond.
Sunflower Seed Orgeat:
Set a large skillet over medium heat and add the sunflower seeds. Cook, stirring often, until the seeds crackle lightly and smell toasted, about 5 minutes. Add 4 cups water, reduce the heat to low and cook, without bringing to a boil, about 15 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to a food processor and pulse until ground. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer set over a medium bowl. Discard the solids, saving the liquid sunflower seed milk. Measure the sunflower seed milk and return it to the bowl. Then measure the same amount of sugar and add it to the bowl. Stir the mixture while warm to completely dissolve the sugar. Strain into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
Cook’s Note
In this case, I stylistically cut a round Bauhaus-style orange twist.
