In addition to the season's three judges, the finalists also try to impress special guest judges, Iron Chefs Bobby Flay and Masaharu Morimoto. In the end, only one chef will reign supreme to earn the title of The Next Iron Chef.

Falling Into Winter

The competition kicks off as host Jesse Palmer asks the twelve bakers to embrace the seasonal transition by making fall and winter doughnuts. For the main heat, the competitors combine holiday cheese board staples in creative apple and cheese desserts. A double elimination looms and judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Carla Hall must send two bakers home for the holidays.

Biz Kids: Smashing Success

A successful business often captures the public's attention with a unique product or a new spin on familiar things. Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli challenge the biz bakers to tantalize their customers by combining two sweet treats into one dessert mash-up, such as Cheesecake and Eclairs, Pecan Pie and Donuts, Brownies and Tiramisu, and more. In the end, one baker is eliminated.

Something Borrowed, Something Old

The remaining bakers get ready to walk down the aisle for the biggest spring celebration of all -- the finale! Host Jesse Palmer puts two bakers head-to-head in a wedding-inspired challenge based on "something borrowed" recipes from the other competitors. Then, the finalists take on "something old" recipes provided by judges Duff Goldman, Kardea Brown and Nancy Fuller.

Biz Kids: Cookies Are for Closers

This isn't your grandma's cookie! Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman challenge the kid bakers to put their own stamp on one of today's biggest trends: the loaded cookie. They want the bakers to really go crazy while making batches of two different types of over-the-top cookies. The more toppings, filling and frosting the better for this semi-final challenge!

Bakery Battle

The final two recruits face their final, ultimate challenge: to take over a bakery and bake for a panel of baking experts. Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale coach their recruits as they are tested on all the skills they have learned over the past six weeks in boot camp. Only one recruit will be named the winner and take home $25,000.

For the Love of Baking!

Love is in the air, as Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale invite some brides and grooms to boot camp. First, the recruits have to sculpt wedding cake toppers of the special guests in a decorating art class. Afterwards, the recruits go head-to-head and bake a four-layer celebration cake. The two that fall below the baking bar will be sent home.

The Road to the Finale

Host Jesse Palmer challenges the final four bakers to make a Parisian café favorite, a strawberry fraisier cake, that makes a bold statement in flavor and design. The top two bakers automatically move on to the final bake, and the bottom two have a bake-off, making one item that could "fix everything" and has a significant personal story. The fate of the bakers is in the hands of judges Duff Goldman, Kardea Brown and Nancy Fuller, as they decide who will move on to the finale.
