Pop-Tarts Is Finally Giving Fans the Thing They've Been Asking for Most
I tried all three new “Super Stuffed” flavors.

It’s hard not to like Pop-Tarts, if only because the iconic toaster pastry brand has dozens of flavors for just about every sweet tooth out there. But even with as much love as Pop-Tarts fans have for these rectangular treats, according to the brand’s own research and inbox messages, they’re still craving something more: extra filling. And starting this April, they’re getting their wish.
What are Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed?
Pop-Tarts is introducing a line of Super Stuffed products featuring “50% more ooey-gooey filling.” If you’re thinking 50% more filling doesn’t sound like that much for a stackable snack that can easily slide into your pocket, I tried the new Super Stuffed Pop-Tarts ahead of the announcement and can say that, to me, the ratio hits the perfect mark.
For the debut of Super Stuffed, the brand is rolling out one classic and two quasi-new flavors. I say “quasi” because those flavors are Cinnamon Caramel and Molten Lava, and Pop-Tarts does currently sell similar Brown Sugar Cinnamon and Chocolate Fudge flavors. Here are all three Super Stuffed flavors with descriptions provided by Pop-Tarts:
- Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed Strawberry Blast – The classic, just super stuffed! Each bite is jam packed with the sweet and tart strawberry-flavored filling fans love and finished with icing and rainbow sprinkles.
- Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed Molten Lava Cake – Pure chocolatey heaven in the form of a rich chocolate-flavored pastry that’s been stuffed with an extra-generous dose of fudgy filling and finished with sweet icing.
- Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed Cinnamon Caramel – This crave-worthy blend of warmth and sweetness features an indulgent, gooey cinnamon caramel-flavored filling wrapped in a cinnamon pastry crust and completed with sweet icing.

How do Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed compare to the original pastries?
While I like Pop-Tarts, I have — and it seems I’m not alone — always felt like there was too much of the pastry portion. Sure enough, biting into a regular Raspberry Pop-Tart (my store was out of strawberry), I got the same satisfying, if crumbly, experience I remember from childhood. But with the Super Stuffed Strawberry Blast version, the pastry and frosting “shell” give way much more easily to the filling, almost to the point of being messy, while allowing me to enjoy the flavor of the filling itself for a bit longer.
The Strawberry Blast flavor is called a classic for good reason, and to my taste buds, it only gets better with the additional, jammier filling. The chocolate Molten Lava filling gives fudgy, chocolate pudding vibes with that balance of sweet, rich and a little salty. The addition of caramel flavor and texture to the mix allows the filling in Cinnamon Caramel to hold its shape, as the original Brown Sugar Cinnamon gritter, closer to a cinnamon roll-style texture.
The main difference for all three, when compared to original Pop-Tarts, is the overall texture when heated up in the toaster. All of that extra filling makes these pastries more flexible, turning them from on-the-go bites to sit-and-savor snacks. Honestly, “Double Stuffed” would have been too much.
Where can you buy Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed?
Fans of extra filling can find Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed Strawberry Blast and Super Stuffed Molten Lava on store shelves nationwide starting in April. However, the Super Stuffed Cinnamon Caramel flavor will only be sold exclusively at Walmart.
