Tom Brady’s retirement announcement took the entire football world by storm, and Samuel Adams is celebrating the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) with a G.O.A.T. of its own – the aptly titled Greatest of Ale Time brew.

Samuel Adams is a Boston-based brewer, making them the perfect brand to be releasing the limited-edition Greatest of Ale Time, a New England Double IPA with an ABV of 7 percent, a fun nod to Brady’s seven Super Bowl rings.

The new brew will be available for $19.99 beginning March 12 at noon ET (a tribute to Tom Brady’s jersey number) with limited pre-sale orders at SamuelAdams.com/GOAT. It is also available for local pickup at the Sam Adams brewery and taprooms in Boston or online GiveThemBeer.com, beginning March 28. As only 199 cases of this limited release will be available, this is not an offer to sleep on.

Brady fans will notice tons of G.O.A.T.-history Easter eggs in this launch, from the presale date, to the launch date, to even the number of cases being released (a reference to Tom Brady’s low draft position once upon a time).

Will this beer truly be the Greatest of Ale Time? We’ll find out soon. Meanwhile, we can’t help but wonder where this beer would fit in Tom Brady’s TB12 diet. We’re pretty sure it wouldn’t.
