Yes, You Absolutely Need Chipotle’s Full Body Suit Halloween Costumes
The fork, especially, takes real commitment.

It may be early September, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween costumes. What do you plan to dress up as this year?
You may want to consider something from the new costume collection Chipotle is dropping this week in collaboration with costume retailer Spirit Halloween. For burrito fans, the restaurant brand’s inaugural costume collection is a dream come true.
Actually, make that a meme come true, because two of the five costumes in the collection — a Chipotle napkin, fork, water cup, burrito and to-go bag — are inspired by popular memes that originated on the brands’ social channels.
The collection traces its origins back to a fictional “Chipotle Fork” costume posted online two years ago, followed a year later by an equally ersatz “Chipotle Napkin” bodysuit concept. Those posts went viral, generating hundreds of thousands of views and comments.
The collection launches in the U.S. and Canada on September 6. Each costume — basically consisting of a head-to-toe long-sleeved polyester bodysuit, some covering the face as well — will be sold individually for $39.99 and range in size from adult small to XL.
The fork costume, which harkens back to the original meme, is black and requires the wearer to strike an arms-raised pose to achieve the desired effect. “The fork. The myth. The legend. Flex on your friends this Halloween in our Chipotle Fork Costume (no, literally.. gotta flex those arms to hold that pose all night lol good luck),” reads the display copy on the product page for that costume.

The meme-inspired napkin bodysuit is Chipotle-napkin beige — albeit shinier than an actual napkin and probably less absorbent — and labeled as the Chipotle napkins are. “It’s giving group costume,” the brands note.
The water cup costume is white with brown lettering. The brand states pointedly — for those who “ask for a water cup then ‘accidentally’ fill it with lemonade” — that the water cup costume does not include lemonade.
The burrito costume is silver — as in foil-wrapped — and appropriately labeled, but comes with a warning: “May cause main character treatment.”
The to-go bag bodysuit, meanwhile, features the elaborately lettered ingredients list that will be familiar to any Chipotle carry-out lover, stretching along the sides, from underarm to top of toe. “This is your chance to look tatted up like a Chipotle bag without the commitment,” the brands suggest.
“Our popular Halloween tradition, Boorito, began with a burrito-themed costume contest and now we’re taking it to the next level with the launch of our first-ever costume collection in collaboration with Spirit Halloween,” Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s chief brand officer, said in a statement.
“Year after year, we are blown away by the passion and creativity we see from fans sharing their take on popular Spirit Halloween memes – and we’re beyond thrilled to be teaming up with Chipotle to bring some of those creations to life,” added Kym Sarkos, executive vice president at Spirit Halloween.
The five-costume collection is available, while supplies last, to customers in the U.S. and Canada on spirithalloween.com and at select Spirit Halloween locations in Chicago, Denver, Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Los Angeles and New York.
And Brandt is hinting that Chipotle has more Halloween goodies in store. “In addition to these bodysuits, we will be treating fans to a scarily great offer next month,” he says.
