Frozen Rum Cordial

4 ounces Meyer lemon juice

4 ounces rum, such as Mount Gay

2 ounces regular lemon juice 

2 ounces orange liqueur, such as Cointreau 

2 ounces almond syrup 

4 maraschino cherries 


  1. Chill four 6-ounce champagne coupes.
  2. Put the Meyer lemon juice, rum, regular lemon juice, orange liqueur and almond syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add 2 cups shaved ice. Shake until the mixture is a slushy consistency.
  3. Spoon about 4 ounces of the slushy into each of the chilled coupes. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
