Four teen winners have returned to compete in the grand finale of the tournament with $25,000 at stake. The young cooks find a surf-and-turf combination in the appetizer basket and aim to distinguish themselves from their opponents with their first plates. Butchering skills come into play in the entree round, then one teen chef's premonition about a mango in the dessert basket comes true!
Four chefs with a connection to the rich culinary history of Africa cook with passion in this special competition. Ambition abounds in the first round as the chefs endeavor to hammer out exceptional saltfish appetizers. Goat chops test the chefs' chops in the entrée round, and a final basket that skews more savory than sweet presents a unique challenge for the final two competitors.
The chefs find blowfish tail in the first basket and hope they can stay cool as they cook up an amazing appetizer in a hurry. Then in the entree round, the competitors find a can of something orange and a jar of something rather unusual: date palm. And when the two finalists take on dessert, aiming for perfect final plates, they must work with basil juice.
Four returning losers -- chefs who made big mistakes in their first competition -- are dead set on not repeating history in the Chopped Kitchen. Having practiced and prepared to do better, the chefs open up the appetizer basket and fight to stay in it: but one pulpo and fava bean appetizer will not be good enough. Then, in the entree round, the chefs have to stay sharp to cook with cactus and manage their time well. And when the two finalists find a classic cookie and a tangy fruit in the dessert basket, make no mistake both of these former losers really want to win it!
Four chefs who lost GGG in their final cook the last time around return for a second chance at proving themselves. But this time, Guy Fieri has made success even harder to attain with two rounds of just 20 minutes to shop and cook! First, Guy asks the chefs to make a 20-minute appetizer, but he hits them with a grocery list of ingredients that gave them grief in their first appearances. Then the chefs must make a chicken dinner using limited ingredients, and the newly redeemed winner goes on a must-see wild shopping spree!
The young competitors get a generous 30 minutes to cook minute steak in the appetizer round. Breaking down a bird is part of the challenge in round two, along with figuring out what to do with some cool ketchup. Then, the dessert basket contains some delicious stuffed fruit and a fun snack cake. The judging panel features chefs Amanda Freitag and Kristen Kish and former MLB player Jason Varitek.
A new round of talented young cooks storms the kitchen to win over the judges, chefs Roble Ali and Marcus Samuelsson and blogger Rachel Hollis. First, they find some unusual gifts from the sea in the appetizer basket, and in the entree round, something sweet and something bitter in the basket make for a flavor-balancing act. Then, chocolate ravioli desserts prove to be a challenge in a hectic final round.
Four returning champions get another shot at facing Food Network heavyweight Bobby Flay. In the first round, the chefs cook up appetizers using pizza bites and caviar -- a match made in Chopped heaven! In the entree round, the champs aim to make the most of a magnificent comfort food creation and a basic veggie. The final two chefs tackle a difficult dessert basket featuring a sugary cereal and a gelatinous stumper.
It's the grand opening of the all-new Flavortown Market 2.0 -- bigger, better and badder than the original! Guy Fieri is celebrating by inviting four GGG legends to face off in a culinary battle royale where they get one hour to cook a trailblazing dinner complete with an appetizer and entree. But besides a trip to the butcher counter, the chefs can shop for just one ingredient per aisle! After the appetizers are served, the chefs must make their entrees, but Guy and his son Hunter throw the chefs one twist before they cross the finish line. The chef who wins the first competition in the new store gets to shop the market for up to $20,000.
It's yacht week, and chefs Anne Burrell and Tiffany Derry welcome the recruits to the S.S. Worst Cooks! While the recruits are more accustomed to chilling on the sundeck than cooking, this time they have to serve it up below deck and make a trio of seafood appetizers worthy of a captain's table. Afterwards, it's time to get shrimpin' when Anne and Tiffany teach the recruits how to prepare shrimp and grits. Then in the main dish challenge, the teams must break down an entire fish and serve a delicious fish entrée. The recruits are thrown into the deep end, and the least successful cooks will be swimming with the fishes.
