Many of us celebrate coffee every single day of our lives. But every year, one day is set aside for a nationwide celebration of the beloved bean: September 29, National Coffee Day. This year, the java holiday falls on Sunday, which should allow for a nice, leisurely consideration of all the joy that coffee brings into our lives.

Many chains and purveyors of coffee and coffee products are hoping to help you celebrate coffee in style with deals and freebies. Here are a few you’ll want to keep a wide-open eye out for:

AeroPress: The portable coffee maker brand is celebrating coffee’s big day by offering 20 percent off all its coffee makers, which use air pressure to shorten brew time and reduce bitterness, with the code NATIONALCOFFEEDAY. Also, on September 29, the brand is also launching a fancy new take on its classic coffee-maker design, the AeroPress Premium, which will be available at a 20 percent discount on that day only.

Bean Box: From September 27 to October 1 (which happens to be International Coffee Day), customers can snag a free 12-ounce bag of coffee with any purchase when they use the promo code COFFEEDAY24. Plus, all new Bean Box subscribers will be entered to win a free year of coffee delivered to their door every month.

Cafe Aroma: You can stock up on Cuban-style espresso from Cafe Aroma this National and International Coffee Day. Through October 2, customers can get 20 percent off sitewide on cafearoma.com and 20 percent off espresso brick 12-packs on Amazon.

Circle K: The convenience store chain is offering free coffee, which, it notes, is “brewed in state-of-the-art bean-to-cup self-serve barista-quality machines and made from sustainably sourced and artfully brewed coffee beans,” ahead of National Coffee Day at its 7,000-plus U.S. locations. Customers can claim one free medium hot or iced coffee between September 26 and October 2 via the Circle K app.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: The coffee and tea chain is offering a buy one, get one free beverage deal all day on September 29.

Coffee mate: Here’s a delightfully weird one. Coffee mate is celebrating National Coffee Day by offering adventure-seeking coffee fans a free (including shipping), limited-edition 16-ounce container of Coffee mate Bagel & Cream Cheese Flavored Creamer, while supplies last. The flavor will not be available for retail sale and features “notes reflecting cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and a slightly savory hint of bagel in every sip,” according to the brand. Two first-come-first-served drops in the lead-up to coffee’s big day sold out fast. The last one will be on September 30 at 12 p.m. EST at the Coffee mate Shop.

Copper Cow Coffee: This AAPI- and female-founded organic coffee brand is celebrating National and International Coffee Days with a sitewide sale. Customers can choose from any of its ground coffees and pour-over kits — between September 29 and October 1 — and receive 15 percent off using the code COFFEEDAY15.

Cusa Tea & Coffee: In celebration of National Coffee Day, Cusa Tea & Coffee is offering a 25 percent discount on all in-stock products on its website through September 30, at 11:59 p.m. MST. Use promo code COFFEEDAY25 at checkout.

Dunkin’: This National Coffee Day, the doughnut chain is offering its Dunkin’ Rewards members a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase on orders made ahead through the Dunkin’ app. There’s a limit of one per member and some exclusions apply. Also pegged to National Coffee Day, the chain is re-teaming with home fragrance brand Homesick to again offer the Dunkin’ Original Blend candle, which features Dunkin’ coffee-inspired “notes of espresso bean, cold brewed coffee and cream,” for $34.95, as well as a car air freshener that promises to bring “the scent of a Dunkin’ frosted strawberry sprinkle donut and iced coffee with cream straight to your car,” for $12. The Dunkin’ x Homesick Collection will be available starting September 27 at 10 a.m. EST on Homesick.com.

Dunn Brothers Coffee: On September 29, rewards members of this Minneapolis-based coffee chain, which has 46 locations across seven states, can enjoy a free brewed coffee of any size with no purchase necessary. Plus, one rewards member at each participating store will win free coffee for a year.

Eight O’Clock Coffee: The gourmet coffee brand is offering 15 percent off any purchase of $75 or more through September 29 for National Coffee Day when you use code BESTBREW.

Épicerie Boulud: Chef Daniel Boulud’s New York City coffee chain is partnering with Lavazza to honor both International and National Coffee Day by offering one complimentary cup of its Signature coffee per day, per person, from September 29 to October 1 at all five of its locations.

International Delight Iced Coffee: Starting September 29, while supplies last, fans can get 100 percent cash back for qualified purchases of International Delight Iced Coffee, while supplies last. To redeem the offer, download the Ibotta app from the App Store or Google Play, search for “International Delight Iced Coffee” to see all offers, and follow instructions within the app. Also, on National Coffee Day, the canned iced coffee brand will launch a Sweet Ride Sweepstakes offering a chance to win a new car and a year’s supply of its iced coffee cans.

Joe Coffee Company: The New York City coffee roaster, which has an expanding partnership with Shake Shack, will offer free small house drip coffees with the purchase of any item at its 24 NYC coffee shop locations on National Coffee Day. And for those shopping online, the brand is running a 30 percent off promotion on the first delivery of coffee subscriptions.

Keebler: Coffee pairs great with cookies, of course, so Keebler is celebrating National Coffee Day by offering to enhance coffee-loving customers’ “me-time” by giving out free packs of cookies from their Sandies portfolio, from September 26 through September 30. The cookie brand’s National Coffee Day Giveaway includes Classic Shortbread, Oatmeal Raisin, Pecan and Cranberry Almond shortbread cookies. To enter, follow @keebler on Instagram, like the giveaway post and tag a friend in the comments.

Keurig: To celebrate National Coffee Day, customers can get up to 50 percent off site wide on Keurig.com through October 1; just use code COFFEEDAY24. And on September 29, the brand’s TikTok shop @keurig TikTok will also offer discounts of up to 50 percent off along with live giveaways throughout the day. Additionally, Keurig is giving away a free K-Brew+Chill Brewer to the first 100 people who comment COFFEE on Keurig’s Instagram post going live at 9:29 AM EST on September 29.

Krak Boba: This Southern California boba brand, which has 15 locations across the United States, is getting in on the National Coffee Day action on September 29, with a buy one, get one free deal on its handcrafted coffee drinks. The offer is valid only for Krak Circle Loyalty members on in-app and in-store purchases, with a limit of four drinks purchased with four free drinks per transaction.

Krispy Kreme: The doughnut chain is offering two deals for free coffee and doughnuts on National Coffee Day. On September 29, customers can get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase. That’s deal one. The second deal: They can pick up a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $2 with the purchase of any dozen. Both offers are available, while supplies last, in-shop and drive-thru at participating U.S. shops and for pickup or delivery at krispykreme.com or via Krispy Kreme’s mobile app using promo codes COFFEE and BOGO2.

La Colombe: Coffee fans can stop by their local La Colombe cafe (or its partner Chobani Cafe in New York City) and get a free drip coffee on September 29. Also, from September 29 through October 1, shoppers on LaColombe.com can get a buy-three-get-one-free deal on 12-ounce coffee boxes.

Matto: This espresso bar chain with 30 New York locations is celebrating National Coffee Day by offering a free coffee from its $3 menu to all Matto app users on September 29 and 30. In addition, app users who place an order on those two days will be eligible to win a $300 gift card to use as credit on the Matto App. And those who create a new Matto account during the two-day celebration will get a voucher for an extra $3.50 credit.

Paris Baguette: The French-inspired Korean bakery café is celebrating National Coffee Day with a free coffee offer. From September 27 through September 29, PB Rewards members can get a free, handcrafted medium hot or iced coffee made with premium Lavazza coffee beans, valid with any purchase, one per PB Rewards account.

Peet’s: On September 29, customers can stop by participating Peet's coffee bar locations to get a small free drip coffee or cold brew. And now through September 29, you can get 25 percent off select items at Peet’s coffee bars and site-wide at peets.com — including Peet’s Coffee beans, K-Cups, capsules and its new Ultra Coffee Concentrate — with promo code NCD2024. In addition, now through September 29, Peetnik Rewards members can enjoy a free upsize to their beverage.

Playa Bowls: For National Coffee Day. Playa Bowls is offering Playa Rewards members who purchase an Apple Turn Up or Jack O Lantern Acai Bowl a free 16-ounce Pumpkin Sweet Cream Cold Brew on September 29. Members can order in shop, online and through the Playa Bowls mobile app.

Scooter’s Coffee: This rapidly expanding Nebraska-based coffee shop franchise, which has more than 800 locations across 30 states, is offering free iced or hot brewed coffee, any size, on orders placed through its mobile app on September 29 and 30. (No additional purchase required, but flavored syrups and cold foam are extra.) Additionally, the first 25 customers at each location on September 29 will receive a free Scooter’s Coffee “Scoot On Around” mug. Plus, in the run-up to National Coffee Day, now through September 28, the chain is offering a $1 deal on mobile app purchases of any size iced or hot brewed coffee.

Sheetz: The major Mid-Atlantic restaurant and convenience chain will celebrate National Coffee Day by offering customers 99-cent cold brew coffee on September 29. The promotion is valid for any size cold brew at all of Sheetz’s 750-plus locations and includes Sheetz’s new Pumpkin Pie Cold Brew, which is part of the company’s fall pumpkin-flavored drink lineup.

Stan’s Donuts & Coffee: The beloved Chicago doughnut chain is offering two deals for National Coffee Day. Customers can stop into any of the chain’s 17 Chicago area locations for a free 16-ounce hot coffee with any purchase of $2.30 or more on September 29. And you can get 50 percent off your first month of a Stan’s Donuts delivered-to-your-home coffee subscription when you sign up between September 29 and October 1. Use promo code DrinkMoreCoffee.

Starbucks: On September 29, 10 a.m to 12 p.m. PT/1 to 3 p.m. ET, Starbucks Coffee at Home is celebrating by hosting a Twitch live DJ streaming set featuring music duo Sofi Tukker. The free livestreaming event, “At Home With Sofi Tukker,” is “designed to bring fans together over music and coffee pairings from the comfort of their own homes,” the brand says, adding that “the set will be inspired by Starbucks coffee roasts, starting soft and smooth (Starbucks Blonde Roast), continuing rich and balanced (Starbucks Medium Roast), and wrapping strong and bold (Starbucks Dark Roast), to inspire at-home tastings.” In addition, Starbucks will offer a get-ready-for-National Coffee Day deal on Amazon through September 29: Customers will get $10 off when they spend $50 on “select coffee blends and at-home favorites,” while supplies last.

Verve Coffee Roasters: The award-winning specialty coffee company is celebrating the holiday on Sept. 29 by offering a free cup of coffee to customers who buy a 12-ounce bag of its Aster Whole Bean. The offer is valid in-store only.

Whataburger: Perhaps because coffee goes with everything, including burgers, the fast-food chain is marking National Coffee Day on September 29 by offering customers a free 16-ounce Iced Coffee or 12-ounce Hot Coffee from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The deal is available at any of the 1,050-plus Whataburgers across 16 states and no purchase is necessary.

Ziggi’s: This coffee chain, which has more than 85 locations nationwide, is offering its rewards members a 16-ounce Daily Brew, Iced Coffee or Cold Brew for $1 on National Coffee Day. The offer is available at all Ziggi’s Coffee locations during regular business hours on September 29.
