Sarah Mountain (formerly Sarah Barber) is an award-winning pastry chef accomplished chocolatier with 25 years of experience, recognised for her creativity, technical skill and distinctive approach to modern pastry who has built a career spanning high-end hospitality, dessert-led concepts, private dining, consultancy, product development, teaching and television, establishing herself as a respected and well-known figure within the pastry industry.

Throughout her career, Sarah has worked across a broad spectrum of pastry and culinary disciplines, developing expertise in everything from classical patisserie and chocolate work to contemporary plated desserts, cakes, petit fours, frozen desserts and bespoke event creations. Her experience also extends beyond pastry kitchens into menu development, concept creation and the commercial side of food, giving her a strong understanding of how to translate an idea into something that is both technically exceptional and commercially relevant. Sarah has also been at the forefront of innovative dessert concepts and she was associated with London's first dessert restaurant. Alongside her hands-on pastry work, Sarah runs her own pastry consultancy.

Sarah is also an author and television personality. She wrote Patisserie Perfection, sharing her knowledge and experience with a wider audience, and won Snackmasters, demonstrating her ability to bring professional pastry expertise into a competitive television environment.
