Lobster Is Coming to Panera Bread This Summer
The fast-casual bakery-cafe chain is saving you the summer trip to Maine.

Some people travel to Maine for lobsters in the summertime. And while the Pine Tree State (aka Vacationland) has many undeniable charms, those who aren’t up for the schlep can still enjoy lobster this summer thanks to Panera Bread.
More than 150 select Panera Bread locations in the Northeast — reportedly in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, Rhode Island and, yes, Maine, too — have added lobster to their summer menus for a limited time — from now through Labor Day.
You can get your lobstah ahn (that’s supposed to be a Maine accent they-yah!) in a couple of ways: 1) on bread in a straight-up Lobster Roll featuring knuckle and claw meat in a lemon tarragon mayonnaise dressing or 2) as part of Panera’s Lobster Mac & Cheese, which takes Panera’s beloved Mac & Cheese to the next level by topping it with buttered knuckle and claw meat and seasoned breadcrumbs.
Panera’s summer menu for 2019 also features some yummy-looking icy coffee beverages — a Frozen Mocha Cold Brew and a Frozen Caramel Cold Brew – and a Summer Strawberry Caprese Salad, which is the chain’s berry-fied take on a classic Caprese. Those are on menus nationwide.
But who are we kidding? It’s the lobster that’s truly caught our attention. Break out the bibs!
