Pumpkin Gingersnap Cheesecake

Not just for pumpkin pie, canned pumpkin puree stars in Ree's sweet-tooth-satisfying cheesecake. She bakes the cinnamon-scented filling inside a buttery crust of gingersnap crumbs and chopped pecans, then dresses up the dessert with a brown sugar-laced salted caramel sauce.

Maple-Whiskey Turkey

To infuse the turkey with flavor and help guarantee juicy results, Ree brines the bird with a sweet, smoky mixture of whiskey and maple syrup for up to a day before cooking it. She roasts the turkey in two parts: once uncovered so the inside can cook, then again uncovered, after rubbing the turkey with butter, so the skin turns out golden brown and crispy.

Maple-Whiskey Gravy

To complement the flavors of the turkey brine, Ree adds the two featured ingredients — maple syrup and whiskey — to her gravy. Follow her lead and hang on to the turkey giblets (all except the liver) when cleaning out your bird; she uses them and the neck to add hearty richness to her thick gravy.

Beautiful Brussels Sprouts

Ree roasts Brussels sprouts and butternut squash with bold chili powder until they're golden and tender, then finishes the veggie mixture with tangy pomegranate molasses and fresh pomegranate seeds for vibrant results.

Herbed Cornbread

Thanks to the addition of a cup of buttermilk, Ree's easy cornbread turns out moist every time. She opts for a trio of dried herbs — basil, sage and thyme — in the batter to add warm, fragrant flavor in each bite.
